Dr. Moises Simpser, pediatric pulmonologist at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, founded the nation’s first Ventilator Assisted Children’s Center (VACC) Camp 1986. In honor of Dr. Simpser’s leadership, Nicklaus Children’s medical staff has renamed the camp with his name.

EOS, an advanced imaging system used in the evaluation of pediatric orthopedic patients, is now available at the Nicklaus Children's Miramar Outpatient Center. It has previously been offered at Nicklaus Children's Hospital's main campus since 2013.

This week the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Cardiac Team in conjunction with The Breanna Vergara Foundation held a free EKG screening event at St Brendan Elementary School. Over 200 students from grades 4-8 were screened.
New name, same heart. The newly renamed Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is a tribute to the generosity of Jack and Barbara Nicklaus and their Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation. We are most grateful for their commitment to our health system and children around the world. Their $60 million pledge will support the completion of our Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion, which will enhance the care setting for children receiving treatment in our multiple intensive care units and their families.
