To commemorate the occasion, patients and their families were treated to a carnival-themed “Quinceañera,” a Spanish coming-of-age celebration held on a child’s 15th birthday, in the hospital’s playroom, complete with food, games, prizes, and fun for all.

The Miami Children's Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center is the first outpatient surgery center devoted to pediatric surgical services in the region. It features five operating rooms and one procedure room for children from birth to 21 years of age to support a range of minor pediatric surgical services including dentistry, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology and more.
State-of-the-Art da Vinci® Xi™ Surgical System can be used across a spectrum of minimally invasive surgical procedures, including general pediatric, abdominal, colorectal, kidney, single-incision, thoracic and urologic surgery. Nicklaus Children's is the first pediatric hospital in Florida to acquire the da Vinci® Xi™ Surgical System.
