January 30, 2017 – Staff and patients of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital welcomed legendary golf icon Jack Nicklaus, his wife, Barbara Nicklaus, and singer/actress Marie Osmond, co-founder of the Children’s Miracle Network, on a tour of the hospital’s new Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion. Patients, families and special guests gathered for an interactive musical drum circle session to end the visit.

October 20, 2016 – The hospital is the first pediatric facility in Florida to acquire this leading-edge equipment, which brings MRI technology – recognized as the "gold standard" in differentiating between healthy and abnormal brain tissue – directly into the surgical suite to enhance safety and ensure complete removal of tumors and preservation of healthy tissue.

August 08, 2016 – Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has earned DNV GL accreditation, which demonstrates the hospital meets or exceeds patient safety standards (Conditions of Participation) set forth by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. DNV GL’s accreditation program is the only one to integrate the ISO 9001 Quality Management System with the Medicare Conditions of Participation.
