Professional women’s organization, Women We Admire has recognized Shannon Odell, system vice president and chief nursing officer of Nicklaus Children’s Health System (Nicklaus Children's), for the second year in a row on the Top 50 Women Chief Nursing Officers. The award highlights CNO’s playing a pivotal role in shaping patient care across the U.S. and Canada.

Overseeing over 1,200 nurses and advanced practice providers, Shannon along with her team continues to meet and exceed the gold standard for nursing upheld by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet. Under Shannon’s direction, Nicklaus Children’s has maintained one of the lowest turnover rates in the region (12.7%).
