Nicklaus Children's Health System has been named one of only twelve U.S. health systems to receive the 2025 Healthcare Supply Chain Excellence Award from ECRI, a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing patient safety and quality. ECRI's annual award recognizes U.S. healthcare organizations for achieving excellence in overall spend management and adopting best practice solutions into their supply chain processes.
“This recognition underscores our team's dedication to leveraging innovation and analytics to enhance care delivery,” said Edith Perez, executive director of supply chain at Nicklaus Children's Health System. “By aligning supply chain strategies with clinical excellence, we continue to advance our mission of providing world-class pediatric care.”
The Florida health system exclusively for children earned this distinction for its commitment to data-driven procurement, standardization, and collaborative practices that optimize both cost efficiency and patient care outcomes. ECRI's 2025 award program evaluated candidates' performance in spend management, technology assessment, and strategic development across capital equipment, supplies, and service contracts. Other awardees included leading systems such as Stanford Medicine, UChicago Medicine, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
