MIAMI, FL — December 19, 2007 - The Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) announced Miami Children's Hospital’s (MCH) Staff and Community Education Department the First Place Gold winner of the “2007 Champion of Workplace Learning” award.
The annual award acknowledges and honors South Florida organizations who demonstrate their commitment to workforce development and employee learning. The MCH Staff and Community Education Department was recognized for establishing the MCH Leadership Institute, an innovative program for developing potential leaders among hospital staff. Winners and nominees where honored during the Champions of Workplace Learning Award Celebration held at the Signature Grand Hotel in Davie, on December 6, 2007.
