Ashley was born with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, a rare condition requiring complex surgeries to correct and, if successful, may be followed by a lifetime of medication. After a grueling search spanning five years, Ashley and her family were finally introduced to Nicklaus Children's Hospital. Led by Rafael Gosalbez, MD, Director of the Division of Urologic Surgery and Alejandro Diaz, MD, Director of the Division of Endocrinology, Ashley’s surgery was a success.

With the support of Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation, as well as donors like you, Ashley is well on her way to ballet classes, swimming lessons, and a healthy, happy life!
