At age 10, Alessandra was diagnosed with scoliosis and started receiving treatment at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her treatment started off by wearing a brace, but after several years it became apparent that she would need surgery. Even though she was scared and the journey has been painful, Alessandra has grown from this experience and today she gives back by helping patients like her.
