Coral Gables Chamber Bestows Diamond Award
Miami Children’s Hospital received a Diamond Award in
the healthcare category from the Coral Gables Chamber
of Commerce. The chamber presents awards each year in
various categories to recognize organizations that provide
exceptional leadership in the community and beyond.
Hospital is Winner of
2013WorksiteWellness Award
Miami Children’s Hospital has been awarded the “2013
Florida Worksite Wellness Forum Award” by The Florida
Heart Research Institute, in partnership with the Consortium
for a Healthier Miami-Dade, an initiative of the Miami-Dade
County Health Department. Miami Children’s was selected
for demonstrating its commitment to employee wellness
practices and programs that produce positive health
outcomes.
Dr. Deise Granado-Villar Receives
Hispanic Star Award
Dr. Deise Granado-Villar, Chief Medical Officer & Senior
Vice President for Medical and Academic Affairs at MCH,
was awarded a “Hispanic Star Award” as the Hispanic
Health Professional at the Miami International Mall Hispanic
Heritage Celebration. Dr. Granado was honored for her
leadership in advocating for children and for developing
programs that extend medical care to the underserved.
Ed Martinez Selected South Florida CIO of the Year
Ed Martinez, Senior Vice President and Chief Information
Officer at Miami Children’s was selected by the South
Florida Business Journal as a 2013 CIO of the Year. The
award recognized his achievements in championing the
use of technology in ways that optimize customer service,
improve patient engagement and empower the consumer.
Miami Children’s Receives Three Mark of
Excellence Awards
Miami Children’s received marketing awards in three
categories, during the 2013 Florida Hospital Association
Mark of Excellence Awards presentation. The hospital’s
marketing team garnered awards for web-based marketing,
social media and community outreach.
