Ten Miami Children’s Hospital pediatric specialty services
were among the best in the nation, according to
U.S.News
&World Report’
s 2013-14 “America’s Best Children’s
Hospitals” rankings. For the third consecutive year, Miami
Children’s was the only hospital in Florida to have programs
ranked in all 10 pediatric subspecialty categories evaluated
by the publication.
Miami Children’s Among Parents
Magazine’s ‘Best Children’s Hospitals’
Parents magazine has included Miami Children’s in its 2013
listing of “Best Children’s Hospitals,” following an extensive
survey conducted by the publication. Miami Children’s
is the only hospital in Florida to make the extended list,
which includes 25 children’s hospitals from throughout the
country.

InformationWeek 500
Miami Children’s Hospital in 2013 was ranked fifth in the
nation in the 2013 InformationWeek 500 – a list of the top
technology innovators in the U.S. The MCH Information
Technology Department has championed the use of
technology in ways that optimize customer service, improve
patient engagement and empower the patient and the
consumer.

organization can receive for professional nursing practice.
Miami Children’s Among Top Training Facilities
Miami Children’s Hospital was again ranked among

magazine’s “Top 125 Training Organizations.” Every year
since 2006, the hospital has been included in the rankings,
which recognize organizations that invest in employee
development, innovative learning solutions, creative web-
based training solutions, leadership development programs

Computerworld Names Miami Children’s Among
Best Places toWork in IT
Computerworld again listed Miami Children’s Hospital as
a top 100 organization in its 2013 “Best Places to Work in
IT.” This honor recognizes companies that challenge their IT
staffs while providing great benefits and overall satisfaction.
Miami Children’s Earns Excellence Through
Insight Award
Miami Children’s Hospital received a 2013 Excellence
Through Insight Award for “Overall Outpatient--Pediatric
Unit Patient Satisfaction” from HealthStream, a leading
provider of learning, talent management, and research
solutions for the healthcare industry. The hospital earned
the honor for achieving high 2012 patient satisfaction
scores within its outpatient care units.
Miami Children’s Hospital Receives Medical
Education Reaccreditation with Commendation
Miami Children’s Hospital was resurveyed by the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(ACCME) and awarded accreditation with commendation
for six years as a provider of continuing medical education
for physicians. Miami Children’s Hospital has long been
a leader in advancing continuing medical education for
physicians.
