Overhead Athlete Injury Prevention Training

What is overhead athlete injury prevention training?

The overhead athlete training program addresses the mechanical dysfunction identified in the screening program. The training program is conducted by trained Sports Health performance specialists.

What happens during the treatment?

The focus of the overhead athlete training program includes neuromuscular control exercises for the entire kinetic chain of a pitcher, strengthening, increasing endurance, and minimizing disparities and weaknesses that may lead to mechanical changes and potential injury.

Is any special preparation needed?

No special preparation is needed for the training session.

What are the risk factors?

Even after overhead athlete injury prevention training, there is still a risk that an athlete can become injured during activity.
