The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at Miami Children’s Hospital has been recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers and is designated as a Level 4 center, providing the more complex forms of intensive neurodiagnostic monitoring as well as the more extensive medical, neuropsychological and psychosocial treatment. Level 4 centers also offer a complete evaluation for epilepsy, surgery, including intracranial electrodes and provide a broad range of surgical procedures for epilepsy. Recognition by the association reflects the center’s efforts to voluntarily maintain quality comprehensive epilepsy services and personnel.
