Jackie Gonzalez to serve on American Academy of Nursing Fellow Selection Committee

MIAMI — Jacqueline L. Gonzalez, ARNP, MSN, FAAN, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Miami Children’s Hospital, has been elected to serve on the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) Fellow Selection Committee for 2009 to 2012.
AAN was established in 1973 under the auspices of the American Nurses Association to provide visionary leadership to the nursing profession and the public in shaping future healthcare policy and practice. Today the association is comprised of approximately 1,500 Fellows, who were chosen based on their leadership in nursing education, management, practice and research.
Ms. Gonzalez, who became an AAN Fellow in 2005, will participate in the selection of future Fellows. The criteria for selection requires evidence of outstanding and broad contributions to nursing and healthcare, as well as evidence of strong potential for continuing influence on nursing practice and health policy.
Ms. Gonzalez resides in Kendall.
