Melquiades Alvarez, MD
Pediatric Radiologist
Dr. Melquiades Alvarez joined Nicklaus Children's Hospital Department of Radiology in 1999. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan. Dr. Alvarez completed a transitional internship at the Metro West Medical Center, MA; a residency in radiology at the University of Texas; and a pediatric radiology fellowship at the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Dr. Alvarez has participated in various lectures and has published an article regarding the study of transesphageal echocardiography. He is a member of several professional societies.
Dr. Cossio is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
