Brandon Barsky, MD, FAAP, CAQSM
Pediatric Orthopedic Medicine Physician
Dr. Brandon Barsky is a pediatric orthopedic medicine physician with Nicklaus Children's Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Spine Institute. He possesses advanced training in sports-related injuries and treats a wide variety of orthopedic injuries in children and adolescents. Dr. Barsky earned his medical degree from Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton. He completed his residency in pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus and went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at Kettering Health in Ohio, followed by a pediatric orthopedic medicine fellowship at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California. His clinical and research interests focus on pediatric orthopedic injuries, sports-related injuries, fracture care and injury prevention in young athletes.
Dr. Barsky is board-certified in both general pediatrics and sports medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an active member of the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He maintains advanced life-support certifications including PALS, ACLS, and BLS. He has also served as a team physician providing coverage for NCAA Division II football and basketball and for multiple high school athletics programs. Dr. Barsky has presented nationally on topics such as concussion recovery and ACL injury risk factors and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in pediatric sports medicine.
Dr. Barsky is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He sees patients in Broward County at Nicklaus Children’s new specialty care center located in Davie.
