Michael A Leoncio, DO
Biography
Dr. Michael Leoncio obtained his medical degree from the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine and a served his pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. He completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and remained for an additional year of fellowship training in cardiac critical care. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine.
Dr. Leoncio is Medical Director of the Vascular Access Team and Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship training program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He is Chairman of the Intensive Care Unit Committee as well as serving on other hospital committees. He is a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at the Herberth Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University and his research interests include mechanical ventilation and extubation readiness.
