Pediatric Cardiologist Non-invasive Imagining
Dr. Mubeena Abdulkarim is a pediatric cardiologist within the Heart Institute at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. Dr. Abdulkarim completed a residency in pediatrics at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Advocate Children’s Hospital/University of Chicago, followed by an additional fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her clinical interests encompass non-invasive cardiac imaging, including MRI, CT and echocardiography.
Dr. Abdulkarim is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and member of the American Society of Echocardiography, Society of Computed Tomography and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Her work has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences.
Dr. Abdulkarim is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
