At just two weeks old, Lukas started showing symptoms of what at first seemed like stomach issues that babies sometimes have. But when they persisted, his mom decided to take him to the Emergency Department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital where doctors found that Lukas had an arrhythmia, a condition in which the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm.
