Miami Children’s Chief Psychologist, Dr. Marisa
Azaret, continued to serve as an international
champion for wellness in 2013. Dr. Azaret serves
as a medical reporter and commentator for
CNN en Español, CNN’s independently produced
24-hour Spanish network. Dr. Azaret also
produces quarterly Vive La Salud health specials
for the network.
The award-winning broadcast journalist manages
all this while continuing to serve as chief
psychologist at Miami Children’s, a role that
includes patient and family interaction.
Separately, Dr. Azaret also serves as the Spanish-
language host for a sexual abuse prevention
training program developed by Darkness to Light,
an organization dedicated to ending child sexual
abuse by empowering adults to be more aware and
vigilant of those at risk. She records educational
modules that are shared with Spanish-speaking
medical professionals, business professionals,
teachers and parents.
